Waste treatment and disposal

The methods used in the treatment and disposal of industrial and hazardous waste depend on the waste treatment characteristics of the material concerned with the criteria for permissible treatment option detailed in regulatory documents such as Royal Commission Environmental Regulations and General Presidency for Meteorology and Environment Guidelines.

A range of facilities are provided by BeeA'h to suit the treatment and disposal requirements of the wasters received. Currently, these facilities extend to:

  • Surface impoundment with solar evaporation
  • Chemical treatment
  • Physical treatment
  • Stabilization
  • Phase separation
  • High temperature thermal destruction (incineration)

Where possible and economically feasible, certain waste may be eligible for re-use, recovery or recycling.

The progress of all accepted wastes is tracked through the waste treatment and disposal processes and waste disposal certificate issued on final disposal.
